Study with Us

Students at William Angliss Institute learn in a professional but enjoyable environment. Training facilities and resources are specialised for many facets of the hospitality, tourism and foods industries. There are also a number of student services to support you while studying. William Angliss Institute maintains a program of continually upgrading of student facilities.

You'll find plenty of flexibility in the way courses are delivered; from hands-on classes to field trips and virtual classrooms depending on the course you undertake.  Assessment methods vary across courses too. For example, you may need to submit written assignments, make presentations, undertake exams, attend and report on field trips or demonstrate your capabilities through skill-based demonstrations.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you have prior experience or qualifications, you may be eligible for exemptions if they can be offered in semester blocks. This is to ensure you maintain a full course loading as required under the conditions of your student visa.  See the Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfers page for more details.

Deferring your studies

Once you have enrolled in a course you are not permitted to defer commencement of your studies or suspend your studies except in certain circumstances. Deferment may be granted under certain circumstances and the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) will be notified if you defer your studies.

Academic Calendar

The Academic Calendar outlines all of the key dates you will need to know when studying at William Angliss Institute, such as semester start dates and public holidays.
