Deferrals, Changes to Study or Status

Deferment is available for most William Angliss Institute courses for either six months or one year.

If you want to defer your place, you can do so upon approval of William Angliss Institute, and completion of all documentation. If you have applied through VTAC, you will  need to defer through VTAC as well as completing the requirements outlined below.

If you wish to defer, you can either come to enrolment and request a deferment form, which can be filled out and lodged on the day, or else contact the Institute by phone and we will send you out a Deferment Form which needs to be filled out and returned by the specified date.

If you have lodged a timely Deferment Form, you will receive a letter from William Angliss Institute confirming your deferment. William Angliss Institute will not accept deferment that is only requested through VTAC, and reserves the right to refuse deferment requests.
