Traineeships
| Hospitality, Retail, Travel, Tourism and Patisserie traineeships have been designed to encourage businesses to employ new staff and upgrade the skills of existing employees. Traineeships combine practical work with structured training to give your employee a nationally recognised qualification. The traineeship system involves your staff working and training over a one- to four-year period. |
 | Trainees develop valuable work skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification. Traineeships increase future job opportunities within industry and also enhance the trainee's ability to make a valuable contribution to your workforce.
William Angliss Institute offers traineeships in the following areas:

Contact your local Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AAC) to establish the eligibility status of your employees.
Traineeships: Getting Started
A traineeship program is an agreement between yourself, your employee, an Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AAC), and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) - in this case, William Angliss Institute of TAFE.
Your employee will be registered as a trainee with the government through the AAC. Then, either you or the AAC will advise us that you have employees wishing to undertake one of our traineeship programs. We will then enrol the trainee in the course. This can usually be done at sign-up with the AAC, or at an induction session with one of our account managers or workplace trainers.
To undertake a traineeship, your staff member must be employed full or part time and be an Australian citizen or hold permanent residency. Additional criteria for undertaking a traineeship will be explained by the AAC.
Traineeships Training Delivery
Traineeships can be delivered using a range of techniques to suit the trainee's requirements and your business needs. Some of the training delivery techniques include:
- flexible learning
- workplace assessment
- mentoring
- off-the-job training sessions.
The traineeship has been designed with industry needs in mind, and aims to cause minimum disruption to the day-to-day operation of the workplace.
