Student Association

Every student enrolled at William Angliss Institute of TAFE is a member of the Student Association*.

The Student Association is represented by a nominated group of students known as the Student Association Council (SAC). The purpose of the SAC is to protect and advance the social, educational and general welfare of the students enrolled at the Institute. Any student can be nominated for a position on the SAC.

What does the SAC do?

The SAC has considerable input into the decision-making process at the Institute. It acts as a forum through which students can discuss and address student issues and also provides input and assistance to the institute Management.

Why should I become part of the SAC?

Becoming a SAC member means excellent opportunities for professional and personal development. Students who volunteer their time gain experience in advising on student policies and procedures, organizing social events, administration of an organisation and participating in formal development programs. Your skills in leadership, decision-making and administration, as well as personal contacts and networks, can be developed in a fun and friendly team environment.

If you are interested in being a member or require more information regarding the SAC, please drop into or contact:

  • Recreation and Liasion Office, Level 1, Building C
  • Telephone: (03)9606 2178

* SAC relies on student participation and interest. Any student who has an objection to being a member of the Student Association may apply for exemption at the above contact details.
