How to Submit an Application

All applicants applying for an advertised vacant position are required to apply online at:  http://williamangliss.nga.net.au  Click on the link Start New Application in the action column beside the job you are interested in, then click Begin.

You are required to answer all pre-application questions. You will be guided through each part of the online application form, which will ask for the following information:

  • personal details
  • employment details
  • responses to key selection criteria
  • referee details

It is important that you save your responses by clicking the "Save" button at the bottom of each screen.

You will also be asked to attach a resume to your application.  This needs to be prepared as a word document.

Eligibility for Employment

Voluntary Departure Packages
William Angliss Institute is precluded from employing individuals who have accepted a Victorian Government Voluntary Departure Package (VDP) or Enhanced Resignation Package (ERP) from a Victorian Public Sector organisation, for the period stated in the individual's package guidelines.

Entitlement to Work
Applicants who are offered a position at William Angliss Institute must produce verification of their Australian Citizenship, or their immigration status and consequent entitlement to legally work in Australia, before employment is confirmed. 

Key Selection Criteria

All applicants are advised that short-listing for an interview will be based on the information provided in the application submitted and will be compared with the Position Description and Key Selection Criteria requirements of the position applied for. 

The Key Selection Criteria forms the basis to determine short-listed applicants. Therefore you should show clear connection to each of the key selection criteria with statements describing the relevant experience, knowledge and skills you possess and include supporting evidence.  It is not sufficient to state 'refer to my resume'.

Pre-employment requirements may apply, for example, employment suitability testing, medical assessments and/or police checks.  This will depend on the particular requirements of the position.

Progress of Applications

Applicants will be notified by email on the receipt of the online application and on the progress and outcome of their application during the selection process.
